DOJ vs. NAR and the Widespread Changes to the Real Estate Community

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) faced a lawsuit alleging anticompetitive practices related to how it displays property listings, commissions, and co-brokerage online. The lawsuit, filed by the Department of Justice in 2020, has reached a pending settlement that aims to address these concerns by requiring NAR to make changes to its rules and practices to provide more transparency for home buyers and sellers, but will it? The settlement is expected to have significant implications and new costs for the real estate industry which this discussion will explore.

Global Talent Mobility: Linking Macro Trends to a Practical Reality

Explore the major shifts reshaping the global talent mobility landscape and discuss strategies to thrive in this our new reality. Case studies will delve into the intersection of critical socioeconomic and global workforce trends and their impact on global mobility.

Immigration Cost Containment: Creating Predictability in the Budgeting Process

HR Immigration and Global Mobility professionals face significant challenges in accurately forecasting budgets for their company's immigration program. This panel will use three real-world scenarios to offer a roadmap for corporate immigration teams on budget forecasting their company's entire program — including green cards, non-immigrant visas, and global immigration matters. Using the blueprint laid out in our intuitive budget forecasting model, as well as predictions from Charlie Oppenheim (formerly Chief of the Immigrant Visa Control and Reporting Division ) on the permanent resident backlogs, attendees will gain practical tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the budgeting process for their corporate immigration program.
